Painting as a Profession

This is the result of improper priming we call it "flashing". Another contractor was painting this home after another guy had primed and got a hold of me to diagnose the issue.

I am always amazed when I speak to someone who really, I mean really, knows the ins and outs of their chosen field of expertise. Gaining a better understanding of what they do and why they are so passionate is always enlightening.

We really do love what do!

Our day to day can appear quite mundane but to our customers and friends they can tell we really love what we do and each and every day is different. I can't tell you every part of each job is awesome but appreciative clients and the results we see at the end of a day is always pretty satisfying.

These different components all contribute to the finished product and the years of knowledge and wisdom that builds every day.

I had a call from a contractor this past summer who was painting a new home.

Pro-tip : When you are getting calls from other contractors to diagnose paint issues you should consider yourself an expert.

Another person had primed the veneer plaster before he arrived to paint. You can see the results after one coat of paint above.

Improper primer on fresh plaster was the easy answer to the flashing issue. I expect the contractor got that feeling that I spoke of at the top of this post. Showing him the reason it failed and the time tested procedure we follow hopefully will help him in the future.

Ask a Professional a question we love to talk about what we love do.
